King Fahd Sports City Stadium — Riyadh

King Fahd Sports City Stadium is the national stadium of Saudi Arabia, set in the east of Riyadh and long recognised by the distinctive tented canopy that rings its stands. Seating around 72,000, it is the largest of the tournament's venues and a natural home for the biggest fixtures of the AFC Asian Cup 2027.

As a purpose-built national arena, the ground has hosted major finals and international matches for decades, and its scale and profile make it a fitting stage for the tournament's showpiece occasions, from marquee group games to the closing knockout rounds.

The stadium stands on Prince Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Road in the Al Maizilah area of eastern Riyadh, part of a wider sports city complex that also includes training grounds and athletics facilities. Riyadh sits on the central Najd plateau and is the largest city in the country, so the stadium is well within reach of the hotels, dining and business districts spread across the capital.

Riyadh is served by King Khalid International Airport to the north of the city, and the stadium is reached from across the capital by road and rail.
