King Abdullah Sports City Stadium — Jeddah

King Abdullah Sports City Stadium is the principal football arena of Jeddah, seating around 60,000 and widely known by its nickname, the Shining Jewel. Modern and enclosed, with a striking illuminated exterior, it is one of the largest venues of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and a natural stage for major fixtures on the Red Sea coast.

Purpose-built for football, the stadium combines a continuous seating bowl with a covered roof that keeps noise and atmosphere inside the ground. Its scale and profile make it well suited to marquee group games and the later knockout rounds.

The stadium stands off Al Madinah Road on the northern edge of Jeddah, set apart from the older city centre in a newer district with its own access roads and parking. Jeddah is Saudi Arabia's second city and its main Red Sea port, long a gateway for travellers to the wider region, so the ground is well served by the city's hotels and infrastructure.

Jeddah is served by King Abdulaziz International Airport, a short distance from the stadium on the north side of the city, which makes arrival straightforward for visiting supporters.
